What's happenin' Amigos de MY BAD TEQUILA?
Man oh Man it is cold in the Scottsdale & Phoenix, Arizona area with a 63 degree showing setting another record for this time of year. We will be warming up by Halloween for the Arizona State University SunDevil Homecoming football game vs. California Bears from California (duh). Our high is expected to be 81 degrees on the 31st of October. Enough about the weather, I'm tip toeing into the next subject - The World Series.
Uncle Rico and Artie the One Man Party have taken some grief and backlash from our New Yorker friends for siding with the Philadelphia Phillies gang. Nothing personal, we love New Yorkers and how you say what you really mean - no pussy footing around the subject. New York has a better pizza as well but you know who has the better Philly Steak Sandwich. The Liberty Series as it is being called this year because of the Statue of Liberty - compliments of New York and originally France & the Liberty Bell - swinging in Philadelphia is tied 1 game a piece. Now the series moves to Philadelphia for the next 3 games.
My Bad Tequila also wants to give New York another compliment - we have the 3rd highest readership from New York on our Blog and visits to our website and it is closing in close to overtaking my home state of Arizona. California (the land of milk and honey) according to one of my favorite writers and authors - John Steinbeck is Numero Uno. Gracias to all 3 states and honorable mention for number 4 is quite a surprise to us all here at Corporate MY BAD TEQUILA; drum roll please - Arkansas, the state where my Daddy was born (no kidding.) Gracias a todo!!!
Now onto something a little more serious - Tequila; Thursday evenings are usually set aside for a new Premium Tequila and Aha Toro is still new to me, I have not completed my first bottle, but getting close as I love it's smoothness and real agave texture.
Back to College Football, the leader of the PAC TEN will be tested this weekend as USC (University of Southern California) Trojans - and we are not talking contraceptives for those of you who have your minds in the gutter or just don't know any better. The Trojans (they're like warrior type guys that ride horses and have swords) take on the Oregon Ducks who may I remind you have only lost 1 game and that was their first encounter of the season, against the mighty Boise State University Broncos (still undefeated and only ranked 7th in the BCS.) So on Halloween Evening, we should know for now who is the Top Pac Ten team. Don't be surprised to see Dracula, Frankenstein and their amigo Werewolf in the stands even before dark and/or the witching hour. My advice is to wear plenty of garlic around the neck and carry some silver in your pocket for a shot of tequila or a cerveza.
