Que Pasan Amigas & Amigos?
March Madness has concluded in April and I believe Wisconsin Badgers got a royal screw job by the referees. The most crazy thing is that the officials were allowed to watch replays and they watched and they watched another angle and then they watched the replays a couple more times while all the announcers agreed that the basketball was last touched by Duke, my neighbor Don and I were watching it and said, great Wisconsin ball, the Duke fans were even holding their faces with angst after seeing the ball roll of the finger of Justice Winslow and the direction of the rotation of the round, brown ball changed by being last touched by a Duke Blue Devil. Then to the overwhelming surprise of everyone other than the referees who are paid to officiate made an asinine call that shook the entire Midwest and Wisconsin. Yep, hard to believe that is what happened Monday night in the NCAA Tournament championship game: With 1:53 left and Duke leading Wisconsin, 63-58, the Badgers' Bronson Koenig missed a layup and, after a scrum for the rebound, the ball went out of bounds off the fingertips of Duke's Justise Winslow. Officials had ruled the ball off Wisconsin. When the Badgers objected, the officials went to watch replays and they took their time rewatching and rewatching while holding up the game. The sports announcers and analysts all agreed that it was an easy call to give Wisconsin the ball. Here is the video of what the rest of the world saw as CBS showed slow-motion replays from several angles: http://www.nj.com/rutgersbasketball/index.ssf/2015/04/badly_blown_call_helps_duke_beat_wisconsin_for_nca.html Now I would highly recommend and suggest checking the officials bank accounts as they made three horrible calls all in favor of Duke. These referees were surely on the take and had money on the game with a Duke win. Now, forever this Championship will have an * asterick next to it as the game was changed.
Congratulations to Mike Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils as he was able to cut down the net after defeating the Wisconsin Badgers during the NCAA Men's Final Four National Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2015 at Indianapolis, Indiana. Duke defeated Wisconsin, 68-63. Notice the score, still 5 points difference, had Wisconsin been given the ball on their side of the court and scored a two point or three point shot they most likely would have won by at least two if not three points since Duke scored a three pointer on that incorrect possession of which Duke should not have even had the ball. It is truly a shame when overpaid, (supposedly professional officials) cannot or will not make the correct call even with the aid of slow motion replay. They’re already wearing stripes so go ahead and just lock them up for fraud and imitating a referee. At least Pete Rose never bet on the Reds to lose and did not have the advantage of giving away a game. So glad that March Madness is over, finally in April, means we are that much closer to football season. Can a get a Hallelujah?
Next month is one of my favorites with Cinco de Mayo, Kentucky Derby & Memorial Day Holiday. Stay tuned as I travel San Francisco to graduate with my Doctorates Degree in Tequila from Dr. Julio Bermejo at Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant & as I watch Amigo & fellow Boise, Idahoan Mr. Gary Stevens mount for the last time at this year’s 141st Run for the Roses on Firing Line. If You want to win some dinero, bet Firing Line to Win, Place & Show as he is sure to be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in Louisville, Kentucky. Another great horse and jockey is American Pharoah with last year’s winning jockey, the humble Mexican, Senor Victor Espinoza.
Also, there is a very, highly overrated boxing match which is being incorrectly billed as the “Fight of the Century.” What a scam when 2 men split $320 million dollars to spend 36 minutes jabbing and sparring with one another in a ring inside MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don’t fall as prey into purchasing for $99.95 pay per view as most bars are even going to steer away from it.
