Buenos Noches Amigos,

Tonight Miss Tanya Tucker takes the spotlight, as she did with her first hit "Delta Dawn" at age 13 in 1972.  Tanya Denise Tucker was born October 10, 1958 in Seminole, Texas.  She was one of the few child performers to grow into adulthood and continue to keep her audience.  Another great hit among her many was in 1973 "What's Your Mama's Name?"

Tanya spent most of her early childhood in Wilcox, Arizona, and the only station they could receive out there was Country Music.  The family moved to Saint George, Utah and Tanya auditioned for the movie Jeremiah Johnson, she received a small part.  Tanya's first singing break came in Phoenix at the Arizona State Fair as she auditioned for a chance to sing with Judy Lynn.  "What's Your Mama's Name" was Tanya's first number one hit in the Spring of 1973.

Miss Tanya Tucker was one of few and the best known female Country Singers to be categorized as an "Outlaw" in the Outlaw Country Movement.  Other Outlaw artists were Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Coe and of course Hank Williams Jr.  Tanya claimed that she "was the wildest thing out there.  I could stay up longer, drink more and kick the biggest ass in town. “I was on the ragged edge."   She also made the gossip headlines with her romantic ventures which included Merle Haggard (her senior of 21 years), Miami Vice actor, Don Johnson, the late Andy Gibb, RIP, and then the on, off, on again, off again relationship with Country and Western Star "The Rhinestone Cowboy" singer, Mr. Glen Campbell.  She moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1982 after their final break and began to abuse alcohol and cocaine.  Tanya has once again proved herself worthy as she again tops the Billboard Charts.  Go Wild Girl!!

Tequila Time is anytime, and any brand of Tequila, especially for Mr. Eldrick Tont Woods, aka Tiger, the golfer.  He is struggling to find a friend in the PGA as Jesper Parnevik blasted Tiger and said "that he hoped Elin would use a driver next time on Tiger instead of a 3 iron."  Jesper and his wife feel responsible for introducing the young Elin Nordegren to Eldrick when she was a nanny or au pair for the Parneviks.  Lots of people have lost respect for Tiger, I lost my respect for him about 10 years ago when he did not attend Payne Stewart's Memorial.  When questioned why he, Tiger was the only notable PGA player that did not attend, he gave the response that it would be too difficult to concentrated on his game.  Guess what, Tiger won that particular tournament as his fellow PGA colleagues were paying their respects to a 3 time Major Champion and Great Human Being - Payne Stewart.

When Tiger was a no show, I knew at that time, Mr. Eldrick Woods only cared about one thing - Numero Uno,  Himself, Tiger.  Again, Nike is not my favorite company as they now have 2 poor representatives - Michael Vick and Tiger Woods.  Now, I must step down from my soap box as I too have transgressed and sinned, I am not perfect either but I too must be held accountable for when I screw up.  Only difference, is that I don't make millions and am not well known, but if I pulled that same sh-t, my wife would come after me with a golf club as well.  Tiger, your lack of privacy comes with the territory.  I liked what Jesper said "maybe Tiger should not just do it" referring to the famous "just do it" slogan by Nike.

You may not agree with me and if Tiger is still your favorite golfer, great; I understand completely as I still like and admire Mr. John Daly and a lot of people do not.  That is the greatest thing about our Country is that we may all have our opinions and may speak freely and openly.  Thank You to our Soldiers that help preserve that right for us and protect us from terrorists that do not respect mankind or humanity.  "Freedom doesn't come Free."

Speaking of Nike, their home state of Oregon is showcasing on ESPN "The Civil War Game" between the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers in Eugene, Oregon for a trip to the Rose Bowl as the PAC 10 Champions.  Winner plays on New Year's Day against Big 10 Champion Ohio Buckeyes in Pasadena, California.
