62 years ago to the day, a part of Rock n Roll began. Sammy Hagar, born in Monterrey, CA is today celebrating his B-Day with a great cause "Rock4Kids.” There has been a party non-stop since October 8th to raise money for the "Don't sleep on the Sidwalk" and "Help the Kids" campaigns. Thanks to all that supported and donated to this cause including Sammy and his Rockin Buds!
Unfortunately, I missed Sammy's party this year as I had prior committments in San Carlos, Mexico helping promote a new tequila "Evaga." It is a good smooth tasting tequila, not nearly as good as Cabo Wabo but not as pricey either. A good value at an introductory price $15.00 per bottle for the Reposado and $10.00 for the white tequila. The difference is the white tequila is bottled right away, the browner tequila or Reposado is in the barrel or aged for 4 months before being bottled up. It is from Navoja, Sonora, Mexico and the website is www.tequilaevaga.com if more information is needed.
Back home in Scottsdale to beat the tropical storm that was heading to San Carlos, Mexico. Did not want to experience another hurricane or tropical storm this year - Hurricane Jimena was enough and the town is just now getting back to normal.
