Mickey Mouse an icon for Disneyland and Disney world, this little guy, a cartoon comic character was created in 1928 by Mr. Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks and was voiced by Walt Disney (RIP) himself. Born originally Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928, Mickey Mouse changed his name to fit in a with the Hollywood, California crowd as he was living in very close proximity to several other movie stars in Anaheim, California. Mickey and I moved in the same circles when I was in Hollywood for Baywatch but we never became good friends as I spent alot of time with Pamela Anderson and Mickey was dating Minnie, who was very jealous of Mickey being around beautiful women and/or Hollywood Playboys such as David Hasselhoff , Jim McMahon, Hugh Hefner, Bruce Willis and Rico Austin. Mickey never married but lived with his life-long partner Minnie Mouse, who has chosen to carry Mickey's last name. To date no children; but , in mouse years, Minnie is still quite young and fertile, so who knows what lies ahead. Mickey Mouse is currently the main character and in charge of the Disney Channels' Playhouse Disney series. Mickey is also the spokesperson and President of The Mickey Mouse Club. Mickey has helped expand Disney holdings to Europe and Asia. Here's to Mr. M. Mouse living several hundreds of years more,
Mickey Charles Mantle born October 20. 1931 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. He was named after the Hall of Fame catcher Mickey Cochrane of the Philadelphia Athletics (wonder where the Athletics are now?) by his dad Elvin Mantle, known as Mutt, who played amateur baseball and was a fanatic fan. Mantle said "One of the great heartaches of his life was that he never told his father he loved him.” If you've never told your Dad you love him and he is still with you, get on the phone or drive over or out and see him, tell him you love him and give him a hug while you're at it. I, like Mickey , wish that I had the opportunity once again. The great 18 year major league professional New York Yankee player won 3 American League MVP titles and played in 16 All Star games. His Yankees with him won 12 pennants and 7 World Series Championships. Records that Mickey Mantle still holds World Series records for: most Home Runs (18), RBIs (40), Runs (40), Walks (43), Extra base Hits (26), and Total Bases (123). Mickey our friend departed this world on August 13, 1995 RIP. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Mickey would be proud that the Yankees won another World Series - 2009.
