Wow, lots of near upsets in the College Football world yesterday. #2 Texas Longhorns barely survived a take down by the #20 Oklahoma Sooners in their own backyard with Texas State Fair, ferris wheel and all. Arkansas Razorbacks, you guys almost did it - defeated the #1 Florida Gators. The last two weeks have shown that Florida is quite beatable; put Boise State University against them and watch them fall. Congrats to Georgia Tech for monopolizing Virginia Tech Hokies which now have 2 losses - why in the heck have they been ranked #4? #3 Alabama's game over South Carolina was much closer than the 20-6 score indicated and I believe they may be questionable as well. #6 USC trojans vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish was another nail biter, with Notre Dame having many an opportunity near the goal line to tie the game and put into OT.
Okay, now we're going to talk about the State of Arizona football: Arizona State University Sundevils survived guest Washington Huskies 24 -17 in a close fight in downtown Tempe, AZ; while in the southern part of AZ the University of Arizona Wildcats won by the hair of their chinny chin chin over Stanford in Tucson according to one UofA fan, 43-38;
Another great hot, sunny day in Scottsdale as we prepare to meet our amigos from Costa Rica - JP & Mayra at the Sail Inn. Also, there will be present other alumni from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. Live music by the Noodles will be enjoyed as will margaritas con Don Julio 1942 and most likely a Corona or two will be missing from the Sail Inn by evening time. Speaking of Global, we'd like to introduce and thank our newest country to MY BAD TEQUILA - UKRAINE has joined us. Welcome!
NASCAR in Charlotte yesterday, Jimmie Johnson finished Numero Uno in the Banking 500. Hello to Mis Amigos that attended that great function yesterday.
Lots of National Football League fun today. Who will still be undefeated after today? Will Minnesota Vikings and their new beloved son "Bret Favre" save the day once more? Mrs. Rico's family are having a party today in Cold Northern Minnesota today and will certainly be cheering them on. Buenas Suerte Minnesota Vikings. Your state needs something to cheer about, to help you get through this long cold a-s winter you are about to experience.
