A fatal mistake was made when I gave Captain Mike, the director of Club de Capitanes in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico the "MY BAD TEQUILA" banner. It had "Go Sun Devils" on it as well. Captain Mike asked me once again "this is my sign?" “Sure,” I responded back for the 2nd time. Mike then went and got a black marker pen, X'd out the Sun Devils and wrote beneath it Wildcats. I did not know that Capitan Michael was an University of Arizona Wildcat fan and loves Wilbur the mascot more than Sparky, the Arizona State University mascot. The positive thing to take away from this is that there will be cause for less bar room brawls as there are more U of A fans that live and visit in San Carlos that ASU fans.
Moving on to other universities and sports. Boise State University Broncos take on Tulsa tonight in College Football on ESPN. The Broncos will have most of the state of Oklahoma cheering on Tulsa as OK Sooner Fans have not forgotten about The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, AZ 2007. Texans and Texas remember "the Alamo." Oklahoma and Oklahomans remember "the Fiesta Bowl." Be careful Broncos, play hard and then get out of the "OK corral."
Sammy Hagar's B-day party aka Tropical Storm Patricia turned into a pre Hurricane Party at Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last night but a good time was had by all including the Cabo Diablo as he was pushing agave at the party. Next year we'll all be looking forward to Sammy turning 63.
