Starting with the defeat of the previously undefeated New Orleans Saints, I too like many fans wanted to see them cruise through the year undefeated as a way to get back at that wicked Hurricane Katrina. It was not to be as Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys (are they really America's team?) handed Drew Brees and gang their first defeat of the 16 game season. Fourteen wins in a row after being in the basement part of the league in recent years is an outstanding accomplishment. Salud a New Orleans Saints. Win another 3 in a row and we'll be seeing you guys in Miami, Florida at the Super Bowl. And, yes I know Indianapolis Colts are still undefeated - I can hear my nephew Tommie screaming from the top of his lungs to me from Carmel, Indiana - "What about us, what about the Colts!" By the way, Tommie & Ashley have a fun cruise on your leave from serving our country in the military - gracias TA.
Back to the start of the alphabet - Amy Adams is a great choice - AA. Miss Amy Lou Adams born in Italy to American parents on August 20, 1974. Another great person was born on that day David A.; however, a few years earlier. Amy's dad was in the military and that's the reason she was born on Italian soil. She has starred in many films and starred in Disney's "Enchanted" that was a box office success in 2007, she received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her portrayal of Giselle. I have to admit, I know of the movie, but I have not watched it - perhaps "Some Day Over the Rainbow." Amy's latest roles have included working opposite Meryl Streep in "Julie & Julia" which she performed as the writer Julie Powell while Streep did another quality job as Julia Childs. A movie that I do want to see Amy Adams in, is "Amelia Earhart." "Amelia Earhart" is now playing at theaters near you.
Tequila Time - can't seem to stay clear of Cabo Wabo Tequila, as Cabo Wabo Facebook asked for photos of their fans drinking the Tequila made famous by Red Rocker - Sammy Hagar. I had to post as I have a huge gallon plus jug of the Reposado. Special hola to Cabo Diablo, he's been ignoring MY BAD TEQUILA lately, must have gotten ahold of some bad agave. Cabo Wabo Cantina can be found in Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the Baja in Mexico, at Harvey's in Stateline, Nevada - right next to Tahoe, in Las Vegas, Nevada and the latest in St. Louis, Missouri - home of Budweiser and the traveling Clydesdale Horses. In fact, my good friend Sammy is making a concert appearance at his newest location for the Gateway to the West City and its residents. Kurt P., you need to go home to St. Louis for this event - leave Wilmington, Delaware for a couple of days to see the fam and give your mother a big hug.
